Introduction

This display maps London through posters. From north to south, and east to west, these posters promote some of London’s cultural landmarks, fine architecture, and fantastic open spaces; all intricately linked with the evolution of the city’s transport network.

With the growth of the population in London over the last century and beyond, the public transport system had to expand, taking people to each corner of London with ease. The underground, trams, buses, and trains wind their way across London keeping the city in perpetual motion.
