About the project

Our Depot in Acton Town holds the majority of our collection, with over 300,000 objects stored there.

It was first opened in October 1999 and it was the first museum store in the UK to be specifically designed with regular public access in mind - part warehouse, part rail depot, part workshop, part education space.

We want to make the London Transport Museum Depot better than ever!

We have exciting plans to open up the Depot and make it a great asset for the local community.

We need your help!

Do you love our collection, and want to get involved in this project?

We’re looking for people who want to:
