You need an annual pass and a timed entry ticket to visit London Transport Museum.

Our annual passes are valid for 12 months from the date you purchase your pass and you can visit as many times as you like throughout the year.

We offer three kinds of Annual Passes - see the options below.

Kids go free so don’t need an annual pass, but do need a free entry ticket which you can add to basket during checkout.

Unlimited daytime entry to the Museum in Covent Garden plus free entry for you and two children at our Depot Open Days in Acton.

From Monday 1 April, our prices for our Annual Pass, Off-Peak Annual Pass and Local Resident ticket will increase by 50p.

What is an annual pass?

Museum annual passes are valid for 12 months and entitle you to visit the Museum as many times as you like throughout the year.

We recommend you purchase your Unlimited, Off Peak and Plus passes (as well as your free timed entry tickets) online in advance of your visit.

People entitled to free tickets, including children, corporate supporters, carers, Friends or Patrons don’t need annual passes. Find out more about those below.

Admission information

Free entry

You can visit the Museum for free if you are:

  • 17 and under
  • TfL staff or TfL Staff nominee with valid card (see guidance below)
  • Staff of one of our Corporate Supporters (with valid company ID)
  • LTM Friend (with valid Friends membership card)
  • Patron 
  • Carer/Companion

    Valid TfL staff ID passes

    TfL Staff, Staff nominees and TfL British Transport Police are entitled to free entry to the Museum. No additional adult guests are allowed. Children 17 and under go free.

    Please bring your valid travel ID for entry. Accepted cards are:

    TfL Staff passes
    British Transport Police passes

    Not valid for Museum admission

    If you are the holder of a Bus Operator pass, Bus Operator nominee or Contractor pass, these are not valid for entry to the Museum. 

    Some bus operators and TfL contractors may be a corporate supporter of the Museum and therefore entitled to free entry. Please check our Corporate Supporters list and book a free Corporate Supporter ticket.

    Tfl passes not valid for admission

*Concession rates

Concession rates apply to:

  • Senior citizens (60+)
  • Students (with valid student ID card)
  • Visitors with disabilities (also entitled to a free carer/companion ticket)

**Local Residents

Local resident rates apply to residents of Westminster, Holborn, Bloomsbury, Kings Cross, Waterloo, Vauxhall, Borough, Bermondsey and Elephant and Castle.

***Universal and Pension Credit

Available to people on:

  • Universal Credit
  • Pension Credit
  • Working Tax Credit
  • Child Tax Credit
  • Employment and Support Allowance

Universal Credit & Pension Credit Annual Passes are sold on an individual basis. Each named passholder must provide individual proof of receipt of one of the above.

Proof of latest correspondence is required, either printed or on an electronic device. You can access your correspondence and relevant proof by logging into the gov.uk website.

Off Peak Annual passes

1 Off Peak Annual Pass holders can visit the Museum in Covent Garden Monday to Friday after 2pm during term time and Summer school holidays as designated by Westminster City Council. Off Peak Annual Pass holders are not eligible to visit during other school holidays or half term breaks.

Other discounts

Blue Light Card and British Military personnel

Blue Light card holders and British Military personnel and their families can get 20 per cent  off an annual pass when booking online. Use the code provided at checkout to claim your discount.

National Rail 241

Get a free day ticket when purchasing an annual pass if you travel on National Rail. Not bookable in advance: please present your National Rail ticket and your printed paper voucher to our team at the front desk. You can get your printable paper voucher from the National Rail Days Out Guide.

Group bookings

If you are visiting London Transport Museum as a group of 10 or more people, get 10% off by organising a groups booking with us!

Group bookings are available 363 days a year, between 14:00 and 17:00, and we have a maximum capacity of 60 people per each 60 minute timeslot.

The group rate is charged at £22 per adult ticket (our Off-Peak ticket price), plus the 10% discount when booking 10 or more. Please note, group bookings are for day tickets only and cannot be used as annual passes.

Children go free but do count towards your group total.

Gift Aid

London Transport Museum is a registered charity, dedicated to transport preservation and education in London.

If you are a UK taxpayer, paying for yourself and/or your family group to enter the museum, you can choose to make a Gift Aid donation. By doing so the government allows us to reclaim the tax you’ve already paid at no cost to yourself - that’s 25p for every £1! 

Gift Aid is an easy and tax effective way of giving to charities in the UK.
