Description | Overground moquette standard and priority is designed by London based design company Wallace Sewell (Harriet Wallace- jones and Emma Sewell) who are well established designers of moquette having designed the Landmark/Barman moquette, the Croydon Tramlink moquette and the Crossrail moquette. It was always one of Wallace Sewell’s ambitions to design the fabric for public transport. Emma and Harriet loved the orange/black rectangular moquette from the 1970s and dreamed they would be involved with designing for Transport for London one day. This design was their first commission in this field and it stemmed from a small competition between four design companies in 2007. The brief for the compeition included a set colour scheme. |
