Description | This is the original artwork for a London Transport poster. The poster was published in 1970 to promote travel by bus to historic sites and leisure attractions across London. The highly sculptural mosaic is made up of white marble blocks. This was the third design Hans Unger and Ebehard Schulze had produced for London Transport using this technique. Unger had learnt the ancient Byzantine craft of glass mosaic work at workshops in Ravenna and Venice. |
