Description | This coach, TF77, is one of 88 Leyland TF-type coaches purchased for Green Line and private hire fleets. The advanced design was jointly developed by Leyland Motors and London Transport. It was the first coach to have air-operated gears and brakes. Only two months after it entered service in 1939, this coach was converted into an ambulance for use during the Second World War. It returned to Green Line service in east London from 1946 to 1953. |
