Description
The LT-type bus first appeared in 1929. It was developed throughout the 1930s to improve passenger capacity and comfort. LT-types were a common sight on London streets during the Second World War. This bus, LT165, has been restored to its wartime condition. It has shaded lamps and white stripes painted on the front mudguards to comply with blackout regulations. The anti-splinter netting on the windows was intended to protect passengers by preventing the glass from shattering during a bomb blast.
