Cut-away model of Brake Actuator Unit Type KLX-TC, as fitted to Central Line rolling stock. Blue casing with red highlighted cross section, sits on wooden base. Cut-away reveals springs and cylinders. Designed for application where braking forces are applied directly to wheel treads on railway vehicles utilising compressed air barking systems. Includes slack adjuster of the single acting 'Gluper' type. Brake actuator unit and slack adjuster would be sealed inside casing.
