Coat; dark navy overcoat, as issued to rail operating grade staff, 1968 - 1974

Dark navy wool double-breasted overcoat with yellow piping on the collar and yellow embroidered griffins on the lapels. The coat has six black griffin buttons. The coat has two deep horizontal opening pockets with flaps, a breast pocket and two inner pockets (one is at waist height and is very deep). The coat is lined with black cotton and fitted with a plain inner fixing button. The coat has no leather trim or belt, but it does have a rear vent.
