Description	London Transport motorman cap badge (grade officially renamed Train driver in 1988). Chrome-plated, in roundel style, inscribed "LONDON TRANSPORT" across bar. Roundel infilled ochre enamel, and roundel centre infilled red enamel. Lugs on reverse have been replaced by a soldered on pin clip. This badge formed part of a new series of unified designs developed for LT by the Design Research Unit in the early 1970s, with different coloured roundel centres according to grades (Lawrence, 1989, p.52 / Fig.91).
