Peaked cap; issued to London Country bus operating staff, circa 1970

Dark green felt peaked cap with self coloured piping and a black matt graine plastic peak. The cap has two metal badge fixing holes in the front and two sets of two mesh covered ventilation holes at the sides of the cap. The cap is lined with black woollen cloth underside the crown. The cap also has a orange brown soft leather inner headband and light green buckram stiffening underside the black peak. In 1970, the London Country bus service became a separate company from London Transport. Until their uniforms were changed to Airforce blue, LCBS staff continued to wear green LT Uniforms.
