Description
Underground railway Station Manager (formerly known as Station Master) cap badge. Roundel style with supporting griffins, in gold coloured basemetal with infilled ochre enamel. "LONDON TRANSPORT" inscribed across bar in gold. Lugs and pin on reverse. Earlier pre-1977 badges in similar style also exist. This version ceased issue in 1988, when London Underground replaced it with one of their own style.
