    Track 1 of 1 [00.43.40]. Ivan Bennett (IB) was born on the 20th of July 1966 in Pembury, Kent. His father a tool maker and mechanical engineer and his mother was a house mother, crafts person, retailer and charity worker. He went to University at Kingston Polytechnic to study Furniture and Product Design. [00:02:50] IB talks about being employed by JEDCO (John Elson Design Company) in 1989 and stayed on for 13 years. [00:06:00] IB begun working for London Transport as a consultant for JEDCO and then moved permananently to Transport for London in 2002 when he joined London Buses. [00:10:20] IB talks about working on bus stops, shelters, real time information displays, staff uniform, road side ticket machines, lighting and more. [00:12:20] IB talks about his work on wayfinding with Legible London and the Cycle Hire scheme for TfL. [00:13:30] IB talks about his role within the marketing department for Transport for London. [00:15:07] IB talks about moquette design and the design of the interior for TfL vehicles including London Underground, buses, trams and DLR. [00:18:30] IB discusses transport design in other countries and how they compare to TfL.
