Jessie Sbresni [JS] was born in Westminster, London in 1998. She went to school in Camberwell and is now taking a year out to work and travel with an aim to attend Roehampton University in September 2018. [00:01:21] JS talks about how she travelled to school, including walking, taking the bus to Lewisham, taking the northern line from Oval to Angel or the 436 or 36 bus. JS reminisces about taking the 171 bus to school and being familiar with run down shop fronts in Peckham, Brockley and so on. [00:02:52] JS talks about her memories of going on the old Routemaster buses around central London as a family treat, she mentions route 15. JS talks about her childhood experience of the underground and describes seeing the trains ‘magically appearing’ from the tunnels. [00:04:00] JS is asked to describe the best changes to transport and talks about the cheaper travel for under 18s and various travelcard options available such as oyster. Following this she is asked to describe the saddest changes which include the loss of real paper tickets, disuse of cash and the loss of the old stock and the change in fonts which she goes on to describe in further detail. [00:06:20] A recording of a current warning from London buses is played which asks passengers to hold on when the bus is moving.
