Description
Oval enamel steel advertisement. White text on black background reading 'NESTLE'S MILK' with two yellow discs with black text. The one on the LH of the bottom with inscription as 'ONE QUALITY / ONLY / THE BEST.', the other one on the RH of the bottom with inscription as 'THE RICHEST / IN / CREAM'. A white oval disc in the centre showing a red flag with white '+' bearing the word 'SWISS'. The sign is from the staircase of a Thomas Tilling horse drawn bus dating from around 1895. The bus was later sold to Andrew's 'Star' Omnibus Company and used in the Victoria area. After withdrawing from service it was used as a summer house in a Surrey garden. The advertising sign was still on the bus when sold for this purpose.
