Company seal; Matrix and press as used by London Regional Transport, 1984 - 2003

Seal and matrix set within an ornate cast iron press, decorated in gold leaf and flower patterns, with timber handle. Manufacturer’s plate attached reading "Waterlow & Co, Manufacturers, London". Press is locked with a bar and padlock. Key is separate. The matrix dates from 1984 and remained in use until July 2003 when LRT was formally dissolved upon transfer of its residual functions, i.e. LUL, to TfL control.
