Description | Large format map. This was the first new Underground map issued after the Second World War. Proposed extensions to the Central line, which had been temporarily shelved due to the war, appear once again on Beck's design. The decorative border was a new addition that did not survive to the next edition. It shows the proposed Northern Heights extensions to Bushy Heath and Alexandra Palace. |
