Description
This poster, At Your Service, promotes the job of the London bus conductor. The illustration by artist Leo P Dowd shows a bus conductor using a Bell Punch ticket machine and ticket rack to issue tickets to the passengers. The poster notes that the work of the conductor can be difficult, patience and understanding are needed in dealing with the public, and that every day 22,000 conductors issue nearly 10 million tickets to passengers travelling on London Transport vehicles.
