Description | In 1935, Keith Henderson was commissioned to design two posters for London Transport, 'Spring Calling' and 'London Listening'. They could be displayed individually or together to form one continuous design. This was an early example of the 'pair poster', a format that became popular after the war. This poster depicts Persephone, who in Greek mythology symbolises the revival of nature in spring. |
