Description
This Underground publicity poster was designed by Maurice Beck in 1932. It shows a photograph of 55 Broadway, the Underground Group's headquarters. The building was designed by Charles Holden and was the tallest office building in London when it was completed in 1929. During the 1920s, Beck was head photographer for British Vogue and created a large number of photographic magazine covers. During the 1930s he designed a series of Underground posters using the same photomontage technique.
