Description | This poster was commissioned by the Underground group in 1927. It was designed by Dorothy Paton to promote travel to Hampton Court by tram. She has depicted the facade built in the 1690s. It was designed by Christopher Wren for William III and Mary II. The bold symmetry of Paton's design is softened only by the swirling sky. |
