Description | The suburb of Rayners Lane in north London is now a well-developed residential area. Its development was kick-started by the opening of the Piccadilly line station, and it grew rapidly during the late 1920s and 30s. When the station opened, the only building nearby was this old farmhouse, situated on Bourne Lane. The farm was owned by a Mr Rayner, who gave his name to the station. |
