Description | A London General Omnibus Company knifeboard horse bus, in service between Putney Bridge and Piccadilly. Other stops were Strand and Charing Cross. The design of the vehicle was a modified version of Mr R F Miller's horse bus design, winner of a competition set by the LGOC in 1856. The vehicle license plate number is 6524. Four men wearing top hats sit on the top-deck facing the camera. |
