Description | The original stations at Charing Cross opened in the early 20th century to serve the Northern and the Bakerloo lines. In conjunction with the Jubilee line extension, which was to have its new terminus at Charing Cross, the station was redeveloped from 1973 to 1979. This photo of the booking hall was taken shortly after the redevelopment in 1979. |
