Description | Euston Road facade of Chiltern Court and Baker Street station. The Metropolitan Railway built nine housing estates in Metro-Land, and commissioned this building above Baker Street Underground station which consisted of 180 high class residental flats. The flats also boasted a restaurant capable of accommodating 250 guests, a hairdressing salon and 30 separate rooms for staff accommodation. Authors H.G Wells and Arnold Bennett were among some of Chiltern Courts more famous residents. |
