PICCADILLY. LOOKING EAST FROM BURLINGTON HOUSE, 1923.

In distance appears the great new Lyons' Corner House in Coventry St. (in course of completion when this photograph was taken); on left is seen the west wing of the Piccadilly Hotel, which building stands on the site of the old St. James's Hall, but with a set-back frontage. The lower part of Prince's Hall is now a restaurant; the St. James's Vestry Hall has recently been demolished. Observe change in traffic, costumes, etc., compared with opposite photograph.
