Description
Turnpike Lane Underground station opened in 1932 on the Southgate extension of the Piccadilly line. Exterior view of the brick box style station with louvred ventilation tower designed by Charles Holden. A tobacconist shop is incorporated into the facade of the station. An Underground roundel sign is positioned upon the ventilation tower. Maps posters and notices are displayed on the exterior station walls. Pedestrians in scene. Florist to left of image. Advertising bill boards to right of image.
