| Description | Woman sorting ticket clippings from ticket punch at the Tramways Ticket Office, Brixton. The clippings are different colours and represent tickets of different value. These are sorted into separate piles and counted. The sum of the clippings should equal the takings of the conductor. It is thought that women were employed for this task as they were less prone to colour blindness. |
