Description | Platform view of Northfields station, looking westwards from the Weymouth Avenue overbridge. The box-like station building, with its large clerestory window and stained-glass roundel, can be seen in the background. The platforms themselves have flat canopies with rooflights; a large number of Bauhaus-style hoop and globe lights, on concrete posts, can also be seen. A Piccadilly line train of standard-tube stock is entering the eastbound platform on an Arnos Grove service. The two light fittings in the immediate left foreground both appear to be missing a bulb. |
