Description | View of a fare and route indicator machine designed by Mr Sandor and in use at Charing Cross station. Machine is surrounded by crowd of people, whilst two women use it. Hexagonal shaped machine with information regarding the fares to various stations. Stations grouped alphabetically on the different sides of the machine. Passengers dial the station they require using a circular telephine type dial and the fare is shown in a circular viewing window. Wooden veneer to machine. |
