Description | The booking hall at Arnos Grove station, built as part of Charles Holden's grand design for the Piccadilly line extension to Southgate. Freestanding wooden ticket offices were abandoned on the new extension in favour of metal-framed ones with simulated marble covering the bottom half. The central passimeter and supporting pillar dominate the view, although brick walls and clerestory windows can also clearly be seen. |
