Description | Five car train at Willesden Junction Underground station, on the Watford extension of the Bakerloo line, during the First World War. It consists of two motor cars on loan from the Central London Railway, and three LER (ex-Piccadilly line) trailer cars. The driver can be seen on the right-hand side of the cab. Note, on the platform, the unusual horseshoe-shaped station name signs, suspended from the canopy. A signal cabin stands behind the roof of the second car of the train. On the platform can be seen some platform furniture, and some staff and passengers. |
