The bodies will be of light weight aluminium alloy, unpainted to eliminate original painting (except for red waist band) and to facilitate cleaning. 14% more passengers can be carried, weight of train being 7 tons lighter than present rolling stock.
Twopair [sic] of facing seats in each compartment and improved fluorescent lighting[.] Improved suspension by replacement of steel springs by special rubber cushioned bogies, this will also reduce wear and vibration besides reducing noise and provide better riding.
