Description | Hounslow West Underground station, District line. The old station, on the right, is in the course of demolition, whilst the new station, constructed of Portland stone, is substantially complete; however, scaffolding still encloses the tower, and men can be seen working on the canopy above the entrance. Builder's huts and rubble occupy the area between the new station and the perimeter fence. Two public telephone boxes stand beside the demolished part of the old station. |
