Description
King William Street Underground station, City & South London Railway (C&SLR) which opened 18 December 1890, closed 24 February 1900. View taken from the platform of the disused station. The image details a wall panel of square ceramic tiles with the peeling remains of the station name sign. An ornate metal light housing hangs from the tunnel ceiling, almost obscured in the darkness, midground left. A wooden station platform cabin is just visible (on the neg) background left.
