Description | A view of a German Daimler double-deck, open-top motor bus with steel tyred wheels and a white 26-seat horse bus body. The bus began regular service on 9 Oct 1899 on a route between Kennington and Victoria Bridge, run by the Motor Traction Co. Ltd. The route was changed to Kennington - Oxford Circus in 1900 but the buses were withdrawn in Dec 1900. The top deck is crowded with men in bowler hats. A Garden Seat-type horse bus is visible in the background |
