Description | Barkingside Underground station, Central line. Exterior platform view, looking west. The canopies and buildings date from the opening of the station in 1903. London Transport concrete roundel/lighting units stand at the near end of each platform. The distinctive cupola on the roof of the main station building can be seen above the canopy on the right hand platform. In the distance, a footbridge and cable bridge cross the tracks. |
