Description | This photograph shows the fitting shop in Cricklewood London General Omnibus Company (LGOC) bus garage with facing rows of B-type buses, in May 1911. Most of the mechanics have stopped to look at the camera, but some have continued working so their images appear blurred in the picture. The man on the right is wearing a three-piece suit and a tie with his shirt, and carries a piece of paper in his hand rather than a tool, suggesting that he is in charge. The notice displayed above the men warns that if they do not follow safety procedures, they will be discharged. |
