Description | St Johns Wood Underground station, Metropolitan line. Exterior view of the station which was designed by Metropolitan Railway architect Charles W Clark, built in 1925 it replaced the original St Johns Wood Road station (built 1868). The building presents a two storey classical style facade clad in white faience simulating stonework. The station name and railway company are displayed on a frieze below the cornice. |
