Description | West Kensington Underground station, Metropolitan District Railway (now District line). Exterior view featuring the one storey, street-level ticket office. Entrance to the station is through three arched doorways. A large UndergrounD sign is displayed on the decorative valanced canopy over the entrance, UndergrounD, sky-line poster panels, maps and station name signage also fronts the walls either side of the building. Bronze-framed UndergrounD poster panels and posters flank the entrance doorways, above each one an UndergrounD hexagonal-shaped light fitting. A tobacconists stand is situated outside the station, a police officer stands to the right of the shot. |
