Description | New stairwell entrance to Chancery Lane station, situated on the west side of Holborn, at the corner with Gray's Inn Road. The stairwell is enclosed by a bronze balustrade on a granite base, and is straddled by an 'UndergrounD' roundel on steel supports. Two station name plates in a bronze band are located below the top rail of the balustrade. A handcart appears to be parked immediately to the rear of the stairwell. The pavement is busy with pedestrians. The traffic is heading towards Holborn Viaduct and the City. |
