| Description | Station gardens competition 1947. The judges inspecting flower beds full of roses, double stocks and gaillardias on the platform at Rayners Lane Underground station; created by Station Foreman Smith, they were awarded a third prize in the Metropolitan line section. A bronze-frame roundel, 'Way Out' sign with three-flighted Mexican arrow, and tiled poster panel can be seen behind the beds. |
