Station gardens competition 1948. Signalman Taylor at work, possibly with a hoe, on a platform flower bed at West Hampstead Underground station, Bakerloo (now Jubilee) line; he won the prize for best overall garden, in addition to a first prize in the Metropolitan line section. Other flower beds can be seen further along the platform, together with freestanding concrete poster panels with station name roundels, and twin overhead lights on concrete posts.
