Description | View of Tooting tram terminus, the meeting point of LCC and LUT routes. The photo was possibly taken on Easter Monday 1911 or 1912 (the carrying of muffs makes it unlikely to be a later Bank Holiday). Two trams (nos 296 and 168, both going to Hampton Court) are in the foreground, with three other cars behind them. A crowd of pedestrians are behind the two front trams, possibly boarding them. The drivers of the trams are at the controls (perhaps setting them up). |
