Description | Knightsbridge Underground station, Piccadilly line. Designed by Leslie Green and in keeping with his uniform style but with some distinctive dressings. Faced with glazed terracotta mouldings and tiles. Central opening for both exit and entrance with decorative ironwork canopy with UndergrounD lettering. Shops to left and right, with pull-down awnings. Station name lettering to top, in relief on white glazed background. Upper level has Art Nouveau floral cartouche dressings in relief. People walking past with some looking into shop windows and newspaper seller to right. |
