Description | Construction work at Golders Green. Labourers work at a deep trench-like excavation which is supported by cross beams and vertical wooden supports acting as supporting walls. Possibly a mould-like foundation structure prior to being filled with cement. The workmen, pushing wheelbarrows or wielding shovels, stand above the trench at ground level and appear to be unloading sacks of gravel or cement. A railway track lies parallel to the trench in the background. (One of a series see U3101-07) |
