Lord Ashfield (seated centre) is flanked on the left by Sir John Gilbert (LCC Chairman 1920-21), and on the right by Sir Henry Maybury (Highway engineer). Standing, from left to right are Mr John Cliff (assistant general secretary of the TGWU), Mr Patrick Ashley Cooper (Governor of the Hudson's Bay Company), Frank Pick (Vice-Chairman) and Sir Edward Holland (Chairman, Surrey County Council 1926-30). Neg U12375 shows an almost identical image. |
