    Biography
Geoff Marshall was born in Lambeth and attended schools in Croydon and Sutton. He became interested in London Transport around the age of eight when he ans his cousins set out to do all the bus routes including a route to Ongar. He was also interested in mapping in routes on a tube map. This instigated his interest in exploring the Underground network. In the 1990's he began his own website geofftech.co.uk where he exhibited his interests, one of which was the London Underground. Geoff was working in London doing a Technical IT job and saw an article in the Evening Standard regarding the Tube Challenge. Geoff has attempted the Tube Challenge a number of times, his first being in May 2002, when he got round all but three stations. His third attempt was covered by ITV and he has since formed a team with each member assigned a role; including route planning, writing codes for determining time and a fast runner. He first world record achievement was in 2004. Geoff continues to attempt a new world record and plans to tackle other cities. It has also led to other projects such as creating an app, which won a TfL accesssibility award, and is a Hidden London Tour guide. Geoff creates YouTube videos regarding the history of the Underground and has written a book about a road trip in America that involved visiting a place in every state that shares its name with a place on the Underground.
