    Born in Liverpool in 1899. Laurence Bradshaw was educated at Liverpool University and then Liverpool School of Art (1916-7). A sculptor, painter and printmaker Bradshaw worked for a time in Brangwyn's studio. He exhibted at the Royal Academy and the RWS. His work can be found in the Victoria and Albert Museum and the Marx-Engels Museum, Moscow.
    He made a number of portrait busts and in 1958 was a member of the Art Worker's Guild.
    He made the bust of Marx which is on his grave in Highgate Cemetry.

    He was married to Eileen.
