    Biography
    Evan Bamford attended the Burton School of Art between 1908 and 1914 either as a student or student teacher. Between 1907 and 1912 he entered the Board of Education Examinations and received 36 certificates forvarious aspects of drawing. He served in France during World War One. After the War Evan was an assistant teacher at Burton School of Art. He then applied to study at the Royal College of Art, finishing his course in 1922. In 1923 he was awarded a Diploma for his posters at the 1st International Exhibition of Decorative art in Milan.
    He married Priscilla Cuthbert in 1927 and made a final unssuccesful attempt to find a job in the art world in 1944. He died in 1967.
